Hope Irish
Stuff and stuff.

****trashy pop rock spewed from the lips and loins of a small-town-Texas girl
**** tunes are catchy enough to be pop, poor enough to be indie, and have enough cynicism to kill the small horse she rode in on.

The independent corporation of Hope Irish the band has been a revolving door of various members, with Hope Irish herself standing steadfast behind the front desk checking I.D’s and offering direction to the up and up floors of music collaboration.

Hope Irish (yes thats her real name) hails from Salado, Texas, which is why her music occasionally tastes a bit seedy and countrified, as well as punkishly rebellious. Hope Moved to Austin to continue her education, which in turn took her across the pond to London, UK. Hope had also been very busy all of this time working and performing with another mind-shattering, butt-shaking band from Austin called BROTHER MACHINE.

While living in London, she dropped all but a few art-related classes and gained an education of her own by visiting music venues every night, (which often left her waiting for the damned night bus and lead to getting lost in not the best of neighbourhoods) as well as slinging pints at The Castle pub. Eventually, she had to come back to Austin to graduate, but not without an armload of new material and a brainful of new influences.

Hope Irish recorded her first EP in 2005, HopeIsh, with Rambunctious Entertainment of Denton, Tx, and backing band,THE INFLUENCE. The EP features six gritty tracks of angst, love, and curiosity

Hope Irish has also been working with the hit making SuperPop Records of Austin Texas. Other Superpop recording artists include Brother Machine, the Archibalds, Leatherbag, The Bubbles, Chuck Fleming, and the Lonesome Heroes to name more than a few. Hope Irish’s first full length album, The Best of The Least, was completed in march of 2007. She’s now well into recording her sophomore effort:

Rejects and the Real Thing: A Sophomore Slump in two parts.
